Sheridan Roalson, Owner & Director of DJH Texan Starlettes
Sheridan comes from an artistic and educational background. She has worked as a performing musician in Austin, TX, for over twenty-five years. Sheridan also worked as a public school teacher and department chair of Special Education for eight years. Her administrative skills were honed as she performed her duties that included accurately completing documentation for over one hundred-twenty students per year, and overseeing the tasks and responsibilities of her team.
With Wimberley Dance Elite, Sheridan is given the opportunity once more to learn and excel. She applies her organization and communication skills and expands her accounting and marketing knowledge to make WDE a strong, sound business.
Lowery Walker, Studio Director, Artistic Director Elite Dance Company and WHS Texan Stars
Lowery is a native Texan and a graduate of Wimberley High School. She joined the Navy after graduating as part of the Nuclear Propulsion Program. After leaving the military, she moved to Savannah, GA with her husband who was stationed there while in the Army. They recently moved back to Wimberley after Lowery’s husband retired, to raise their three children, Jesse, Lynzee and Ryann.
Lowery participated in dance and cheer as a youth, and her love of dance continued through her twelve years as a competitive dance mom. Her passion led her to learn more about the world of competitive dance and over time, she became a consultant to dance teams on everything from choreography and team building to makeup and costumes.
What Lowery brings to WDE, EDC, and Texan Stars is an an extensive knowledge of competition dance as well as the compassion of being a parent within the dance world. With it, she will oversee the team of instructors and the progress of the dancers so that the team succeeds. Equally important is her ability and heart to see and encourage the very best in our dancers, and to relate and support them as they strive to reach their dance goals and their life goals.
Danielle Smythe, Studio Manager
Danielle grew up on the Jersey Shore and also spent time in Massachusetts and Wisconsin before settling down in Wimberley. She is a graduate of Georgian Court College with majors in Elementary Education and French, as well as holding an English as Second Language certification, Danielle spent over 15 years as a competitive youth sailing coach, training sailors aged 10 - 18 years old, at both the national and international levels. These experiences alongside her background in education have helped to build both her organizational and leadership skills.
In addition to her work at the studio, Danielle is a travel advisor and owner of Point 32 Travel where she specializes in planning and curating personalized vacations for her clients. Her attention to detail and commitment to service carries over and helps to enhance her role at WDE. Danielle is an active participant in Zumba, Heels, hip hop, and ballet classes. With her husband, Charlie, a professional sailor, and their daughter, Bailey, an avid dancer at the studio, Danielle is dedicated to creating a positive and welcoming environment for all of WDE's students and families. |
Adeline Cones, Assistant Director Elite Dance Company and Lead Instructor
Adeline grew up in the dance world, and is so glad to be here today to spread what she knows to growing minds. Her mother, Janet Loper, studied Classical Ballet under Natasha Krisosvka of Ballet Russe De Monte Carlo and owned and operated a dance studio in Georgetown where Adeline learned about running a studio as well as dance technique from an early age.
Adeline had the opportunity to do theater growing up at the Georgetown Palace Theater. She was in musicals such as Singing in the Rain, Cats, Christmas Carol and much more. During this time she learned tap, jazz, and contemporary taking classes under Jesse Smart. One thing she is very thankful for is getting the chance to learn under the wonderful Eugene Slavin and Alexander Nadal of Ballet Russe De Monte Carlo during their last years. She had the chance to participate in YAGP under their studio. She also attended numerous conventions in the Dallas area where she learned from many incredible instructors. Adeline has taught since she was in high school, first as an assistant, and then as a substitute at Lockhart DCU until she started teaching there in 2022. She has also been a leader in many forms through high school and college and demonstrates the natural knack it takes to effectively and compassionately teach. Adeline is excited to be a part of Wimberley Dance Elite, and to join in as Assistant Director of EDC. |
Alanna Bouvier, Assistant Director of the WHS Texan Stars
Alanna grew up in the DFW area whose journey began at the age of 5 under the guidance of directors like Afton Fox-Beadles, Carrie Sellars, Kelle Fraser, and Kristy Cole. As captain of the Rowlett High School drill team and 13 years at a private dance studio, she garnered numerous awards, including National Champion titles and performances at iconic events like the Dallas Cowboys halftime show, and the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, as well as guest performances for pre-shows for the Dallas Stars and Dallas Mavericks.
After her high school career, she attended Texas State University and graduated with a degree in Psychology and Criminal Justice. During her time in college she participated in a student organization, DanceWorks where she served as Vice President her senior year. She also became a dance instructor at studios such as Dancing Center Unlimited II, San Marcos Dance Studio, and of course, at Wimberly Dance Elite. Her story is a thrilling blend of artistry, leadership, and an unwavering dedication to the world of dance. She is so excited to be able to showcase her knowledge and her love of dance with her students!

Madeline McNew, Assistant Director of DJH Texan Starlettes
Madeline is originally from the DFW area where she began dancing and competing at a local dance studio under the direction of Angela McGarity. Madeline studied styles such as ballet/pointe, jazz, tap, and contemporary for over ten years, as well as taking part in multiple North Central Ballet Theatre productions. Soon after, she joined the Fossil Ridge High School Sun Dancers where she served as the captain of her dance team. During her time at FRHS she was proud to take part in performance opportunities such as the Cotton Bowl! To further express her love for the arts, she was a proud member of her Varsity Choir and a dance captain in the Musical Theatre Department.
After high school, she was accepted into Texas State University, where she pursued a BFA in Dance with a concentration in Dance Education under the guidance of esteem instructors Ana Baer, Kaysie Seitz Brown, Brandon Gonzalez, Lynzy Lab, Amanda McCorkle, LeAnne Smith, and our very own Nicole Wesley. While at Texas State, she was a Line Captain of The World-Famous Texas State Strutters, and later a member of their Pom Squad, a member of the Orchesis Dance Company, and later President of DanceWorks. Her time here allowed her to perform in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade, the Philadelphia Thanksgiving Parade, the TXST Faculty Convention, and more! She began her teaching career at Dancing Center Unlimited and is excited to continue to share her love and appreciation of dance here at Wimberley Dance Elite! |
Angela Altmeyer
Angela began dancing at the age of two at a small dance studio in Guam. When she moved back stateside, she continued her dance education at Betty Jack's School of Dance, Fredrick Maryland Regional Ballet Company, Ballet Austin and January's Academy of Arts, but her dance home was always the Wimberley Dance Studio.
After five years as a dancer at WDS, Angela began her teaching career at the age of sixteen, and worked and danced at the Wimberley Dance Studio for ten more years. During this time, she graduated from Wimberley High School and got her Bachelors of Fine Arts at Southwest Texas State University, focusing in metallurgy, art history and, of course, dance. Angela has also worked at Jackie's Performing Arts school in Austin and the Jadco Dance Company in Charleston, West Virginia, where she was also a principal dancer.
Angela is looking forward to starting her 7th year as a teacher at Wimberley Dance Elite!
Dylan Steele |
Dylan was born in Austin, Texas and moved to Wimberley when she was 5 years old. She began her time at Wimberley Dance Elite when she was 9, and competed with the company team for 5 years. She has been a student here for the past 8 years, and a staff member for 2! She is trained in various styles of dance, but her favorites are Jazz, Acro, and Hip Hop. She is also the 2024-2025 Captain for the WHS Texan Stars dance team! Outside of dance, she is a senior at Wimberley High School, participating in National Honor Society, Yearbook Club, and PALS! Dylan loves being a leader and role model for young dancers and students; and she is super excited to start another year of teaching, and sharing her passion of performance with her students! |
Addyson Hoffman
Addyson is from West Texas but relocated to Wimberley, with her family, in 2017 when she discovered her passion for dance. She took her first dance class at the age of 4 and has been a dedicated dancer at Wimberley Dance Elite for the past 8 years and will be starting her second year as a teacher at WDE.
Over the years, Addyson has explored various dance genres but her heart belongs to hip hop and contemporary styles. She is thrilled at the opportunity to work with the talented dancers at the studio. Addyson is eager to share her love for dance and contribute to the vibrate dance community here in Wimberley! |
Aubrey Hurless
Aubrey was born and raised in Allen, Texas. She has danced at the Allen Dance Studio since second grade and has based her life around dance ever since. She spent two years on the performing company where she had the opportunity to perform at several college basketball games and two minor league baseball games. Aubrey also spent four years on the competitive company where she competed at countless competitions and attended conventions like Nuvo, Jump, and NYCDA. During her junior and senior years, Aubrey attended John Paul II High School and was a member of their dance/drill team the Cardinal Belles. While Aubrey was on the Belles, they won regional, state, and national championship titles both years. While a senior, Aubrey also served as a Social Officer and was a valuable leader within the Belles. Aubrey credits dance with teaching her how to be confident in herself and she looks forward to passing this skill onto her students! |
Mary Jane Gomersall
Mary Jane Gomersall was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. In her childhood and adolescence years she studied
dance at Kitty Carter’s Dance Factory. After graduating Texas Tech University with a B.A. in dance, she danced as a soloist and performed in several classical, contemporary, and jazz ballets, operas, and musicals with several companies including Royal Caribbean Productions, the Fort Worth Opera (La Traviata & Carmen), the Willis Ballet in conjunction with the St. Petersburg Classic Ballet Theatre of Marina Medvetskaya, Eclipse Entertainment, Company Mayes, FTA Productions, Commedia Ballet Theatre, and Votum Dance Company. Throughout her dance career, she has completed six teacher’s congresses in the Teaching Method of Classical Ballet (Vaganova) and has been passing her knowledge of dance teaching ballet, lyrical, modern, contemporary and jazz to students of all ages for 25 years in the United States and the United Kingdom. She has also appeared in an episode of Prison Break and a JC Penny industrial video. |
Sarai Herrera
Sarai was born in Austin, Texas but has lived in Wimberley her entire life! She is a Senior at Wimberley High School and enjoys to visit with her variety of friends. She has been dancing since the third grade, but has been attending Wimberley Dance Elite since they have opened in her fifth grade year. She has studied many styles of dance including ballet, contemporary, lyrical, hiphop, tap, and many more! Sarai is not only a teacher and student at Wimberley Dance Elite but is also on our EDC Competition Team and Wimberley Texan Stars! Sarai loves to go visit her very large family; she loves to cook, dance, sing, play games, and watch movies. Sarai loves dance and hopes to inspire your kids love for dance as well! She is very excited to work at Wimberley Dance Elite!

Lindsey Gerson
Lindsey was born in Germany and grew up in El Paso, Texas. She started her dancing career in classical ballet at 13 and continued for 6 years under the direction of David Alejandro Duran. After graduating high school, she traveled abroad for 7 months in Germany and China during a Discipleship Training School where she also experienced native dance forms. After returning, she moved to Austin and began choreography and improv classes with Darla Johnson and learned American Sign Language at Austin Community College. During this time, she began sewing and costume making. After gaining her Certificate in American Sign Language Studies, she transferred to Texas State. She was a member of Merge Dance Company for the 2016-2017 season and traveled with them to preform in Trinidad for the Contemporary Choreographers’ Collective Dance Festival. She joined Transient Dance Collective in 2016 and was the President this past year (2017-2018). Her dance films, Refine and Imprisoned, have both been selected for various film festivals. She graduated in May with her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance with an emphasis in Performance and Choreography. She continues her self taught work as an amateur seamstress and also teaches dance in the surrounding Austin area. She will be preforming with the aerial dance company, Blue Lapis Light, this fall. Lindsey’s darling black cat, Coco, enjoys assisting with all sewing projects. Lindsey is very excited to be kicking off our senior ballroom program at Wimberley Dance Elite this year!
