Pre-K/K Themed Camps (ages 2.5- 5yrs)
These fun camps introduce the tiny dancer to to basic dance concepts. Dancers learn coordination and dynamics through ballet, tap and creative movement, and can choose the themes they like the best. Etiquette such as listening, following instructions and being respectful is emphasized.
Dancers will need:
A refillable, spill proof water bottle
A snack
Tap Shoes (we may have loaners)

Leotard, tights, and skirt (we may have skirts to loan)

Tiny Tumblers a la Carte (ages 2- 5yrs)
This class will establish a foundation for our youngest tumblers that will include body consciousness, balance, and classroom etiquette. This class will get them set up for success for forward rolls, bridges, cartwheels and more as they continue learning through our top notch Acro program!

Dance Trends Themed Camp (ages 5-8yrs)
This camp is designed to introduce new, younger dancers to all the FUN trendy dance styles we see showcased on popular TV shows and games. Dancers will learn the basics of jazz and Hip Hop through age-appropriate choreography and music, and have fun with their friends in this relaxed camp that is perfect for the young beginning dancer.

Petite Tech (ages 5-7yrs)
This combo class is for young dancers who wish to continue on their dance journeys after Pre-K. Dancers will continue with Ballet and be introduced to Jazz and Contemporary genres. Dancers will learn proper body position, posture, terminology and class behavior while cultivating their individuality and creativity. This class is for the young dancer who is ready for focused age-appropriate technique training.
Ballet (ages 7 and up)
Ballet is core to a dancer’s training and is considered the fundamental dance form that caters and supports all other dance genres. This class is designed to build strength, flexibility, coordination, fluidity and grace. Ballet class includes barré work, center exercises including Adagio and Petit Allegro phrases and across the floor work including traveling turns and Grand Allegro phrases. Advanced class participation requires instructor approval.
Jazz (ages 9 and up)
Jazz is a fast-paced, dynamic and rhythmic form of movement. With a similar vocabulary base in ballet, jazz consists of unique moves, big leaps, multiple turns, isolations, stretching and strength. Styles of jazz to be taught include commercial, musical theatre, and traditional Fosse.
Musical Theater (ages 6-10yrs)
Musical Theater introduces students to Broadway dance and theater. This class is designed to improve a student's dance repertoire as he or she has fun singing and dancing to favorite show tunes. Class will consist of a jazz warm-up and progressions. It will improve the student's ability to pick-up dance combinations, vocals, blocking and choreography. It is age appropriate and dancers have lots of fun re-creating Broadway production numbers and popular movie musical productions.
Hip-Hop (ages 9 and up)
Set to today’s upbeat music, Hip-Hop is a popular dance style rooted in the commercial entertainment industry and seen in music videos and concerts, commercials, movies and sporting events. In hip-hop class, students will learn a series of fun, energetic steps set to age-appropriate music. Students will be taught rhythm and coordination, and will be challenged to think on their feet while enjoying a fast-paced class popular with both boys and girls. Intermediate and Advanced class participation requires instructor approval.
Contemporary (ages 7 and up)
As seen on such TV hits at So You Think You Can Dance and World of Dance, Contemporary dance is a performance genre that developed during the 21th century and has since grown to be one of the most dominant genres for formally trained dancers throughout the world, with particularly strong popularity in the U.S. and Europe. Contemporary fuses classical, modern, and jazz styles together to create a unique form. Intermediate and Advanced class participation requires instructor approval.
Acro -Beginning/Junior/Intermediate (ages 5 and up)
Acro Dance is an art form that incorporates both the fluid movements of dance and the difficult tricks from acrobatics. Dancers not only learn how to execute each acro move with strength, flexibility and technique, but also learn to perform each trick seamlessly through choreographed routines. Adding acro dance is next-level training that will develop a specific skill set, and creates well-rounded and versatile dancers. Junior and Intermediate class participation requires instructor approval.
Tumbling and Tricks
Tumbling and Tricks is designed to lay the foundation for bigger power tumbling. Students will build strength and flexibility and practice specific drills to work towards back handsprings, front handsprings, and eventually back-tucks. Students will perfect their cartwheels and back walkovers and begin to add power to these graceful movements. They will learn to combine tricks together into a series or a tumbling pass. Students will participate in strength and cardiovascular conditioning to build the strength and control needed for tumbling. This class does not participate in our annual recital.
Instructor Approval Classes
Pre-Pointe- 4th grade and up
Pre-pointe is designed to teach the fundamentals of and basic techniques in pointe work as preparation for dancing En Pointe to students of the appropriate age and technical ability. Because of the risk of injury students must be physically ready, so one complete dance year (minimum) of pre-pointe and a pointe evaluation is required before advancement to pointe class. The pointe evaluation allows teachers and students the opportunity to see where the student needs work in order to prepare for pointe. The evaluation focuses on legs (straightness and strength), feet (flexibility, strength, alignment, and shape), ankles (strength and straightness), and overall body alignment. Please note: Students must be registered for Ballet class in order to attend Pre-Pointe.
Petite, Junior, Teen, and Senior Tech Classes
Students who show strong technical ability, work ethic and/or have an interest in training to audition for Elite Dance Company are permitted into EDC Tech classes with instructor approval only. EDC Tech students will train in ballet, jazz and contemporary. Students are exposed to multiple styles of dance to broaden their training, increase their knowledge in dance and find their own appreciation for each dance form. Students in the dance program are encouraged to be active in the dance community and are given multiple performance opportunities throughout the year.
Elite Dance Company
The Elite Dance Company (EDC) is a competitive and performance-oriented company for dancers 5 and up who wish to be part of an advanced dance program track that focuses improving technical and performing skills in all genres. We take great pride in EDC and have high expectations for all members. Emphasis is on training diverse and skilled performers and providing performance and competition opportunities throughout the year. EDC is a by audition only.
